Colbie Thompson

Colbie was born and raised in San Clemente, California. She graduated from San Jose State University in May of 2014 where she majored in Communicative Disorders and Sciences, and minored in Child and Adolescent Development. In July 2014, she married her best friend, Ben Thompson, and shortly after, the two began attending CrossPoint and volunteering with the Real Life High School Ministry.

Colbie began working with children as a surf instructor in high school, which sparked her passion for teaching. She realized her impact went far beyond their abilities to just stand up on a surfboard. She accepted Christ her senior year in high school, and as a college student became involved in Campus Crusade where she began to grow in her faith.

Colbie joined our staff in November 2015, and as a new staff member is excited to work along side CrossPoint's leaders to create an environment that allows children to grow in their understanding of God’s incredible love for them. Colbie’s favorite verse is Romans 12:12, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, be constant in prayer.”

Colbie loves all things baseball, but most importantly, the Angels. She grew up attending games regularly, and still does. She firmly believes that baseball season is the best season of the year. Colbie’s favorite hobby is cooking and being creative in the kitchen, but if we’re being honest, her actual favorite hobby is eating.
