Family: Wife: Lana Maxey, 3 beautiful daughters, 3 amazing sons-in-law; 4 handsome grandsons and 3 precious granddaughters
Hometown: Boyd, Texas (this small town is close to Fort Worth, Texas… which is close to Dallas, Texas.)
I became a Christian… at the age of 8 in a service that my Uncle Thurman Wilson was preaching on the subject of “Hell.”
I started going to CrossPoint… after moving to Huntington Beach in August, 2012.
Describe your job & a random task that you do: The joy of my job is praying a lot! Since I have never been trained to do many of the tasks of this job, asking the Lord to help me accomplish success in many of the tasks assigned me is the avenue used to complete these jobs… from removing toys and rocks from plumbing in the pre-school to removing dead limbs from the palm trees.
I do a little plumbing, a little electrical, a lot of painting, a little carpenter work, and a lot of fixing broken things – with God’s help.
What do you want people to know about the church staff? The church staff at CrossPoint are some of the finest people I have ever worked with. Each one is very special and works with a heart for the Lord and His work.

What’s a book that you would recommend to everyone? Through Gates of Splendor.
What celebrity do people say you resemble? I have been stopped (in the past) when people thought I was Tom Kite – PGA golfer. (That’s before they saw me hit the ball!)
