Love & Respect Class

  • CrossPoint Church

What is Love and Respect?

We believe love best motivates a woman and respect most powerfully motivates a man. Research reveals that during marital conflict a husband most often reacts unlovingly when feeling disrespected, and a wife reacts disrespectfully when feeling unloved. We asked 7,000 people the question, "When you are in a conflict with your spouse or significant other, do you feel unloved or disrespected?" 83% of the men said "disrespected" and 72% of the women said "unloved." Though we all need love and respect equally, the felt need differs during conflict, and this difference is as different as pink is from blue!

We will be having a Love & Respect Class starting on Wednesday, July 26th. The class will meet for 6 weeks and is open for couples and singles alike. They will be meeting in Room G202 at 7:00p. Let us know that you'll be coming by RSVPing below.

CPKids Summer Camp at The Village

  • The Village - Forest Home

Is your child ready for their own awesome summer adventure? Would they enjoy a week in the mountains to encounter Jesus in a new way?

This summer, CPKids will be headed up the mountain to summer camp at The Village, a five-day camp specifically designed for students entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. This is a safe place where kids will learn about their great God through age-appropriate teaching, engaging worship, and time outdoors in His Creation. It’s an opportunity to meet new friends and learn about how we are designed for Christ-centered community while staying away from home for the very first time.

A hallmark of summer camp at The Village is the outrageously fun games and activities. Campers will face challenges through a variety of recreation options and skills classes. Swimming, archery, the Slingshot Swing, the Squirrel Run (our Low Ropes Course), Climbing Trees, and hiking are just a few of the options available.

Dates: July 30-Aug 4th
Cost: $400
$50 deposit due no later than May 14th
and final payment of $350 due June 25th

For more information, please join us on Sunday, May 7th for our summer camp parents meeting. It will take place after our 10:30a worship service up in the CPKids Room or you can contact our Children's Director Sandra Hills at shills@crosspointhb.org.

*This "Pay Here" link is if you would like to pay online. You are more than welcome to pay via cash or check (made out to CrossPoint) at church or in the church office. Thanks so much!

Baptisms

  • CrossPoint Church

We baptize because Jesus told His followers to be baptized. We will be baptizing the weekend of August 19th & 20th. If you are interested in being baptized or would like more information on baptism or joining this church family, please let us know here.

Members of CrossPoint play a huge part in our church. They vote on various church matters, but being a member is so much more than that. Being a member of CrossPoint means that you participate in a stronger, more unified effort of God’s people, you have greater opportunities to use your spiritual gifts and you get to encourage new believers to commitment to the local body. If you would like to become a member of CrossPoint either through baptism or statement of faith, please indicate so on a Connection Card and a pastor will be in touch with you.
