Describe your job: My main roles are College/Young Adults Pastor, Groups and Facilities and Staff Support. Pastor Bruce says I do 30 jobs.

Family: Wife, Tomoko, and sons, Luke, Josh, Matthew, Noah & Jacob

I started going to CrossPoint… I started going to CrossPoint in 1980. I was a curious, unchurched 16 year old and I loved it here from the beginning! I came to faith in Christ Aug. 13, 1980 at Pine Summit Summer Camp. This has been my church home ever since.

What is a random task that you do that not many people know about? We often catch ourselves saying: They did not teach us (fill in the blank) in Bible College. There is so much random stuff it’s hard to recount, but stuff like cleaning up after overnight “guests” to our property, doing interior design work on new building, receiving a call about access to a room on the weekend or people needing help running a projector and sound system. Replacing car batteries for widows. I like the random stuff most of the time. It keeps things interesting.

What do you want people to know about the church staff? Our church staff is very much like a family. We have tremendous love for one another and everyone is deeply committed to God’s best for the others' ministry. I could not possibly imagine being more unified, cohesive and spirit driven ministry team! It is a blessing to work where I work! I feel blessed both as a pastor and a church member to associate with our staff!

In what ways have you seen God move through your ministry? The most rewarding part of my ministry is to see the people of CrossPoint come together to grow, serve each other, disciple each other, present the gospel together, etc. It strikes me as a miracle to watch scripture come alive through the people of CrossPoint!
