Job Title: Director of Children's Ministry

Education: BA in Interior Design from PLNU. MA in Modern Art & History from APU

Years in church ministry: Officially employed since 2009, as a volunteer since I was 14 years old.

Describe your job: I get to talk to kids about Jesus, it's literally the greatest job on campus, you can't change my mind!

Family: My husband's name is Mike and we met here at CrossPoint in Jim and Tomoko's young adults class! We have two dogs, Gus and Millie, who will melt your heart and smother you with love and snuggles.

Hometown: Born in Cairo, Egypt, raised all over but mostly here in HB

I started going to CrossPoint… in 2014 after attending LCS as a senior and working at Summer in the Son daycamp for a few years.

What is a random task that you do that not many people know about?
Organize,  people, kids, papers, crafts, and playdough. Lots of organizing.

What do you want people to know about the church staff? This staff loves SO fiercely. With everything they have, they love the Lord, they love their jobs, and they love the people we serve. It is an absolute honor and blessing to work alongside each of them.

In what ways have you seen God move through your ministry?
Kids Ministry is exploding! We've been growing so much because our kids are inviting their friends and families to come to church with them! Because of that, I get a front-row seat to the Lord, changing hearts and growing little disciples. I also get to see our church serve! We couldn't function without all our volunteers and the way they joyfully jump into serving Sundays and Wednesdays is so awesome! The love they show for our kids is a constant reminder of God's love for us.

THIS OR THAT?

Chick-Fil-A or Raising Cane's? If I had to choose Chick-fil-A, honestly, I'd rather make a homemade chicken sandwich.

Mountains or beach? We just moved halfway across the country for the beach, definitely the beach.

Early bird or night owl? Neither. I'm a middle of the day-er.

Coffee or tea? Coffee! Always coffee.

Starbucks or Portola? I love making coffee at home but I also love coffee dates/chats and finding new coffee shops!

Casual or dressy? Can you wear nice things when you work with kids? 🙂

Favorite spot in Huntington Beach? The beach where I get to feel God's power in the waves and watch His creativity in the sunsets!

A book you would recommend to everyone? Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It'll rip your heart out and show you God's unconditional love all at the same time.

What’s the weirdest thing about you? I'm so nerdy, like SO nerdy.
